Rites Wednesday for Laura Henry

Services for Mrs. Laura Layton Henry, 74, of 1212 E. Nineteenth St., who died of a heart attack Monday at her home, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson’s funeral home in Winterset. Burial will be at St. Charles.

Born in West Virginia, Mrs. Henry lived in Des Moines most of her life.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Somers of Waukee, Mrs. Leota Woods of Des Moines and Mrs. Ilo Mason of Winterset, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Transcriber’s note: Typed as printed in the Des Moines Tribune. She was Laura Hoff, married to James McCollum in 1890 per Madison County Marriage Records and then to Jesse Layton. No other information has been found.
