Many hearts have been made sad by the untimely death of Mrs. D. Travis who died on the 12th and was laid to rest in the Ebenezer cemetery where the little babe had preceded her only two days. She was the only daughter of Uncle John Priest. God alone can comfort in an hour when heart strings are torn asunder.

Transcriber's note: The deceased is "the little babe" who died on January 10, 1904. Per her father's (Derwin) obituary, her name was "Mildred".
