RUBY. June 3, at 1238 Windsor Boulevard, Sophie J. Ruby, widow of the late, Samuel Guiberson Ruby, beloved mother of Claude A. and Blanche Ruby and grandmother of Albert Ruby.
Services today at 4 p.m. from Pierce Brothers’ chapel. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Death Follows Many Years Of Ill Health – Family Well Known In Winterset – Son and Daughter Survive
Mrs. S. G. Ruby, formerly of Winterset, died in Los Angeles Sunday. A telegram to W. J. Cornell, life-long friend of the family, merely stated that she was dead.
Mrs. Ruby was the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ogden who owned a grocery in Winterset during and after the Civil war. Mr. Ruby, whose death occurred several years ago, was a Winterset attorney and was United States consul at Belfast, Ireland, before they went to Los Angeles to make their home.
Mrs. Ruby who had been as invalid a number of years, is survived by her daughter, Miss Blanche Ruby, and her son, Claude.
