Walter Berry Dies In Missouri

Funeral services were held at Hamblin cemetery Tuesday of last week for Walter Berry, 53-year-old former resident of Madison county who died in Liberty, Mo.

Walter was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Berry who lived in Monroe township many years. He was born in Monroe township, Feb. 13, 1887, and grew to manhood in the Kasson neighborhood. He moved with his parents to Kansas about 35 years ago and later to Missouri.

He was married in 1915 and to this union were born two children, a son and a daughter. His wife preceded him in death in 1923.

He is survived by his father; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Leak of near Fort Des Moines; Mrs. Agnes Morrow of Missouri and Ruth of Cairo, Mo., who had been caring for her brother; two brothers, Floyd and Manville both of Missouri. Cousins of Mr. Berry served as the pall bearers.
