Mrs. Harry Rebik, Mrs. Alta Rhyno and Mrs. Marge Creger of Truro and Mrs. Beulah Ray of St Charles attended the funeral of Miss Freda Creger at Clarion Tuesday. Graveside services were held at the Young Cemetery at Truro Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday Services For Freda Louise Creger

Funeral services for Freda Louise Creger were held at Eyler Funeral Home in Clarion Tuesday morning, August 23, 1977.

Rev. Myron Brockmeyer officiated at the services and organist was Mrs. Paul Loomis, Soloist, Roy Crawford sang, “How Great Thou Art” and “The Old Rugged Cross”.

Casketbearers were Louis Crees, Phillip Van Vleet, Steve Creger, Harry Rebik, Don Bacon and Forrest Creger.

Interment was in the Young Cemetery at Truro, Iowa.

Miss Freda Louise Creger, daughter of Verd and Ona (Beam) Creger, was born on April 5, 1922 at Peru, Iowa. She graduated from Public High School at Truro, Iowa.

She settled in Des Moines where she was employed by the Veterans Administration. In 1954 she moved to Clarion where she was employed by various businesses as a secretary and later became an agent for the Bankers Life and Casualty Insurance Company.

Freda departed this life on Saturday, August 20, 1977 at the Clarion Community Hospital where she had been a patient for a week. She had attained the age of 55 years, 4 months and 15 days.

Miss Creger is survived by her brother, Wilbur D. Creger of Des Moines, Iowa, a half-sister, Mrs. Tru Jeters of Iowa City, Ia. And a half-brother, Arthur D. Creger of Des Moines, an aunt, Mrs. Altha Rhyno of Truro, Ia., two nieces and one nephew and a great niece and a great nephew.

She also leaves other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a half brother.
