Page 5, Column 4Prof. Ruth Townsend Lehman, 85, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away March 20, 1981 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
A native Iowan, she moved with her family to Illinois during her youth. She later attended Drake University for one year, received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois, and her Masters and Doctorate Degrees from the University of Chicago.
She was a long time Professor of Economics at Ohio State University.
Memorial services were held in Columbus. Her body has been cremated. Graveside committal services will be held at the Penn Center Cemetery Saturday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Janet L. Meiley of San Jose, California, eight nieces and nephews and several cousins.
