Funeral services were Saturday afternoon in the Penn Center church for Mrs. Lela Carrington of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was a sister of Cord Boyle. Those from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Vesely and Dorothy Boyle of Iowa City and Chester and Everett Boyle and Mrs. Lester Price of South Dakota, also Clate Boyle, who returned to South Dakota with his sons.

Lela Carrington, daughter of Newton and Arena Boyle, was born October 11, 1880, in Dallas County, Iowa and passed away May 1, 1963, at the age of 82 in her home at 1730 Farlin Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin, after a short illness.

She was married March 12, 1902 to Claude Carrington, and they began their married life in this community. To them were born two sons. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Leonard and Orvil Carrington, and by her parents and two brothers.

Her survivors include three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Grace E. Boyle of Denver, Colorado, and two brothers, Clate Boyle of Denver, Colorado, and Coradon Boyle of Earlham.

She was a member of the Green Bay Methodist Church for many years where she and her husband were very active.

A service was held in Green Bay before coming to her final resting place in the Penn Center cemetery. Here, under the direction of the Evans Funeral Home, services were held May 4 at the Penn Center church, Madison county, with Rev. John M. Latta officiating.
