Death of Ivy Harshman

Mrs. Ivy Harshman died at her father’s home, John Catterlin, this morning at about 3:00 o’clock. She will be remembered here as Ivy Catterlin. Since her marriage to Mr. Harshman they have lived in Chicago. Some months ago she submitted to a surgical operation which was not successful and was sent here last April to recuperate for a second one, but instead of gaining strength she steadily lost. It has been known by all but herself for sometime that her recovery was entirely hopeless, and not until within a few days past had she realized her true condition. Through all her intense suffering she has been brave, uncomplaining and cheerful, as all who knew her would expect. She leaves a world of pain and suffering to enter one of joys eternal and the bereaved family have this comfort to sustain them.

The funeral will occur from the house tomorrow morning at 10:00. Mr. Harshman, who is in Cincinnati, will not be able to reach here in time for the funeral as it is not possible to keep the remains longer than tomorrow morning.
