Grandma Black, an old resident of this place, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Wallace of Menlo, last Sunday night and the remains were brought to this place on Monday evening and the funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Christian church, conducted by Rev. Nichols and interment made at the McGinnis cemetery.

Relatives attending from a distance were: Mrs. A. J. Trowbridge of Yates Center, Kans., Dave Slayton of Mitchellville, Mrs. J. W. Wallace and son Bryan of Menlo, Mrs. James McCradden and two children of Menlo, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bell of Monroe township.
