Services Held For Annette Bradshaw

Funeral services were held August 20 from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro for Mrs. Walter D. Bradshaw whose death occurred August 13 in California at the age of 93 years.

Mrs. Bradshaw was a native of Guernsey county, Ohio where she was born October 26, 1872 a daughter of John and Julia Worthing. When she was 8 years old, the family came to Madison County and her life was spent here until 1932 when she moved to Glendale, California. She was married in 1896 to Walter D. Bradshaw who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Howell of Glendale; a son, Kenneth Bradshaw of Inglewood, California; one grandchild; one great grandchild and a brother, Richard Worthing of Hot Springs, South Dakota.

The Rev. Clarence Moore of Clarinda conducted the funeral services on Friday. Burial was made in the Young cemetery.

Sarah Arnette Bradshaw

Sarah Arnette Bradshaw, a daughter of John E. and Julia Barger Worthing was born in Guernsey County, Ohio, October 26, 1872 and passed away at the Riverside Convalescent Hospital in California at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 17 days.

She moved to Iowa at the age of eight years. She was united in marriage to Walter D. Bradshaw of Truro in 1896. To this union were born John Kenneth Bradshaw and Mary Howell, both residents of California.

After the death of her husband in February 1925, she gave up her home in Truro, moving to California in 1934. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Truro from the time of her marriage until she moved to Glendale, Calif., where she became affiliated with the Baptist church until time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter of Glendale, Calif., and son, John Kenneth Bradshaw of Inglewood, Calif. One grandchild, Kenneth Eugene Bradshaw of Inglewood; one great-grandchild, Peter Keven Mahoney of Grandhills, Calif., one brother, Richard Worthing of Hot Springs, S. Dak., nine nephews and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D., in 1926, one granddaughter, Sally Mahoney, in 1955, and three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Burial is in the Young Cemetery.
