The family of J. H. Welch, of Douglas township, has been afflicted by the loss of the wife and mother, who died on Friday, of last week, and was buried on Sunday.

Death of Mrs. James Welch

Mrs. James Welch died Friday of cancer after a lingering illness of nearly two years. She bore up under terrible affliction with much fortitude and cheerfulness. She was the mother of a large family of children.

The funeral occurred Sunday morning from the residence 3 miles north of town.

Mr. Welch and children desirous to thank the many friends for their acts of kindness during her sickness and death.
