D. H. Shutt Dies At St. Charles

David Henry Shutt, a life-long resident of the St. Charles community, died there Thursday Oct. 14 at the age of 84 years.

Mr. Shutt had spent his entire life on a farm near St. Charles. He was born April 22, 1870, a son of Harrison and Katherine Shutt. On Feb. 27, 1898, he was married to Effie Strawn. They were parents of six children, two of whom preceded the father in death.

Surviving are his wife; four children, Vern of Truro, Glen of Springfield, Ill, Clee of New Virginia and Garnetta of Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, John of Wickloff, O., and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Burke of Denver, Colo.

Funeral services were held Oct. 17, from his home near St. Charles conducted by the Rev. Mr. Evans, pastor of St. Charles Christian church. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
