MRS. FLORETTA WEAVER PASSED LAST FRIDAY

Long-Time Resident Dies at Advanced Age of 86 Years

Mrs. Floretta Arminda Weaver, long-time resident of Madison county and Winterset, died at her home here last Friday. She was 86 years of age.

She was born Dec. 16, 1854, in Page county, Virginia. She came to Iowa when she was 13 years of age, and here was married to John William Weaver, in 1873. They lived on the same farm in Madison county from 1873 to 1920, when she moved to Winterset. Mr. Weaver had died in 1914.

Mr. and Mrs. Weaver were the parents of 10 children. All are living except one daughter who died in 1916.

The surviving children are Mrs. M. V. Eling, Mrs. A. W. Templeman, Mrs. Will Speer, Mrs. Eivie Strong, Mrs. Ida McAlwee, Mrs. Walter Smith, Mrs. Robert A. Smith, Mrs. Ed Thompson, and Charles and Ralph Weaver.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Anderson home for funerals in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Pitzer cemetery.
