Death of Mrs. Zoa Killion

Mrs. Zoa Killion, former Madison county resident, died Wednesday, February 26th at her home in Orient, after an extended illness, at the age of 50 years. She was born August 24, 1885, near Macksburg, a daughter of Frank and Lyda Weeks. On December 23, 1905, she was married to Asa A. Killion, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1933. They were the parents of six children who survive them; Harold, Kenneth, Nola, Hazel, Ruth and Dale.

Besides the children, Mrs. Killion leaves one brother and four sisters; L. D. Weeks, Macksburg, Mrs. Nella Reynolds, Norfolk, Nebraska, Mrs. Garnet Spackman and Mrs. Bula Hagman, Fullerton, Nebraska, and Mrs. Leta Cunningham, Ralston, Nebraska.

Funeral services for the deceased were held, Friday afternoon, February 28th at two o'clock, at the Congregational church in Orient, with the Rev. A. R. Weed in charge assisted by the Rev. W. S. Stevenson. Those serving as pallbearers were Alva Janes, Tracey Flaugh, Carl Childs, Howard Powers, Ellis Jones and Gail Wilson. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
