MAUDE WALKER DIED SATURDAY

Had Been Resident of This County for Half A Century

Mrs. Otis Walker, a resident of Madison county for half a century, died at a Winterset nursing home Saturday, Oct. 25. She was 84 years of age.

Mrs. Walker was a native of Illinois, where she was born at Cherry Point, Sept. 7, 1894. She was the former Maude Elizabeth Robinson, daughter of Andrew and Sarah Stockdale Robinson. As a child she moved with her parents to Madison county where they lived in Jackson township.

When she was a young woman she went back east to Indiana, where she was married at Marshall, on March 18, 1920, to Otis Walker. They came to Madison county to make their home.

She was a member of Eastern Star at Marshall, Ind., and was affiliated with the Oak Grove church here.

Mrs. Walker's husband died in 1949. She is survived by a son, Andrew Walker of near Winterset; five grandchildren; and a brother, Clem Robinson of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Wesley Lowry. Burial was made in Pleasant View cemetery.
