MRS. PAUL ROBY DIES AT TRURO

Former Elvina Powers Dies There at Age of 59 Years

Mrs. Paul O. Roby of Truro died at her home there last Thursday, Oct. 29, at the age of 59 years.

Mrs. Roby had lived in Madison county for 38 years. She was the former Elvina Louise Powers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Powers, and was born Jan. 5, 1900, in Carthage, Ill.

She was married at Newton on Nov. 8, 1919, to Paul O. Roby of Truro. She was a member of the Congregational Christian church there, in which she was an active worker. She was also a member of the Thursday Girls and Garden club.

She leaves her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Williams, Mrs. Shirley Pepmeier, Mrs. Lila Parker and Mrs. Anne Parker; three sons, Paul, Otis and Richard Roby; four sisters, Mrs. Blanche Spears, Mrs. Helen Wilson, Mrs. Marie Shearer and Mrs. Georgia Veach; and two brothers, Clarence and Phillip Powers.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Congregational Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Lockhart. Burial was made in Young cemetery at Truro.

Mrs. Paul Roby died at her home Thursday morning following a heart attack. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Christian church Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Young cemetery.
