BARBARA STEVENS DIES IN MINNESOTA CRASH

Barbara Stevens, 6 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Stevens of Winterset, was killed early Tuesday morning in an automobile accident near Red River Falls, Minnesota.

The little girl, with her mother, had accompanied a group of local persons on a motor trip to northern Minnesota. The group was composed of Noah Oglesbee, Mrs. Roy Shetterly and son and Mrs. Stevens and Barbara.

With Oglesbee driving the car took a turn in the road at too high speed and overturned in the ditch causing fatal injuries to the child. As far as could be learned here Wednesday, none of the other occupants of the car were seriously injured.

BARBARA STEVENS DIES FROM INJURIES

Hurt In Car Accident Near Thief River Falls. Auto Overturns

Barbara Stevens, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stevens, who live on the McIlree place west of Winterset, died in a Thief River Falls hospital following an accident which occurred Monday morning. Few particulars are known. The telegram telling of her death was received here at 7:30 Tuesday.

Mrs. Stevens, a sister, Mrs. Pearl Shetterley and son Norman, and Noah Oglesbee, were on their way to Oklee, Minnesota, to visit relatives. Oglesbee was driving when the auto overturned while rounding a curve. Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Ogelsbee were slightly injured. Mr. Stevens left for Thief River Falls Tuesday afternoon.
