A great sorrow came to the family of T. I. Killam last Wednesday morning when the White Winged Messenger entered their home and bore away from them the bright life of their little darling son and brother, Carl. Aid and sympathy was free and abundant, but human skill, earnest prayers and attentive care was of no avail.

Funeral from the home at 2 o’clock p.m. Thursday; services at the M. E. church, conducted by pastor, Rev. Palmer, assisted by Rev. Proudfit of the Presbyterian church. Interment in the family lot at St. Charles cemetery.

Notwithstanding their great loss, this worthy family is well prepared to cheerfully accept their burden, sincerely believing in the wise purposes of Him who doeth all things well.
