Graveside services for N. Cleo Creger were held Tues., May 26 at Peru Cemetery with the Rev. Tapiwa Mucherera officiating. Mrs. Creger died of pneumonia on May 23 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 20, 1889 in Madison County to George and Belle (Deardorff) Youmans and attended Truro schools. She married Merrill S. Creger on April 5, 1933 and was a homemaker and a member of the World War I Auxiliary, W.S.C.S. at Truro and Truro United Methodist Church. She resided in Winterset Care Center North since 1980 and Truro prior to that time.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and three brothers.

Survivors include a son, George and wife, Patty of Winterset; a sister, Opal Reed of Harlingen, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Kale Funeral Home, Truro, handled arrangements; and memorial contributions may be made to the Truro United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Creger are a son, George Creger of Winterset; four grandchildren, Scott Merrill Creger of Winterset, Tori Lee Betcher of Winterset, Darin Errol Creger of Des Moines and Shannon G. Creger of Kansas City, Mo. and a sister Opal Reed of Harlingen, Texas.

Graveside services were Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Peru Cemetery with The Rev. Tapiwa Mucherera officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Truro United Methodist Church, Truro.

Arrangements were by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.

N. CLEO CREGER

N. Cleo Creger, daughter of George and Belle Deardorff Youmans, was born June 20, 1898, in Madison County and died May 23, 1992, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. She was 93.

Mrs. Creger attended school at the Truro schools. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County living in Truro until 1980, when she moved to the Winterset Care Center.

She married Merrill S. Creger on April 5, 1933 and the couple were the parents of a son, George.

A homemaker, Mrs. Creger was a member of the World War I Auxiliary and W.S.C.S. at Truro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merrill in 1975; a sister and three brothers.

Surviving Mrs. Creger are he son, George Creger and his wife, Patty, of Winterset; four grandchildren, Scott Merrill Creger and his wife, Mary Jo, of Winterset, Tori Lee Betcher and her husband, Jim of Winterset, Darin Errol Creger of Des Moines and Shannon G. Creger of Kansas City, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Jenna Jo Creger and Bradyn James Betcher; a sister, Opal Reed of Harlingen, Texas along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Creger were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Peru Cemetery at Peru with the Rev. Tapiwa Mucherera officiating. Arrangements were by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.

N. Cleo Creger, 93, of Winterset died of pneumonia Saturday at Madison County Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Peru Cemetery.

Mrs. Creger was born in Madison County and had lived in Truro before moving to Winterset 10 years ago. She was a homemaker and member of Truro United Methodist Church and World War I Auxiliary.

Among survivors are a son, George of Winterset; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Arrangements are being handled by Kale Funeral Home in Truro.
