Claude Brown

Claude Brown, son of Samuel and Alice Brown, was born in Madison county, near Patterson, on March 13, 1894 and passed from this life August 15, 1920, aged 26 years, 5 months.

He grew to manhood in this place and remained at home until he entered the service of his country on April 28, 1918. He first went to Camp Dodge and was transferred to the 90th Division at Camp Travis, Texas. He served one year overseas, going with the army of occupation into Germany. He was honorably discharged June 17, 1919 after fourteen months of service, returning home. He went to Oregon in August 1919.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his father, mother, ten brothers and sisters, George, Gail, Mary, Geneva, Elma, John, Florence, Ernest, Eugene and Arthur and an aged grandmother and other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Goddard at Union Chapel on Monday, August 23.
