Charles Myron Forgy

EARLHAM-A funeral for Charles Myron Forgy, 45, of Earlham was held Dec. 23, 1991 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Winterset. Mr. Forgy died of a heart ailment on Dec. 19 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery at Earlham.

The son of Cameron and Dorothy Ness Forgy, he was born at Clarion on July 3, 1946. On Aug. 18, 1968, he married Linda Fitzgerald at Boone. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Winterset. He had worked in the medical field for over 20 years at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Cardiology Associates and Des Moines General Hospital, where he retired in April 1991 due to ill health.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two sons, Mark and Matthew, both of Earlham; his parents, Cameron and Dorothy Forgy of DeSoto; and a brother, Ronald Forgy of Winterset.

Charles Myron Forgy, son of Cameron and Dorothy (Ness) Forgy was born July 3, 1946 in Clarion, Iowa and passed away on December 19, 1991 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Chuck was a 1964 graduate of Clarion High School and attended Eagle Grove Community College, North Iowa Area Community College and Grandview College. He married Linda Fitgerald August 18, 1968 at Boone, Iowa and to this union two sons were born, Mark and Matthew. He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winterset, Ia. Charles worked and served in the medical field for over 20 years at Mercy Medical Center, Cardiology Associates and Des Moines General Hospital, where he retired in April 1991 due to ill health.

Chuck, sometimes called Charlie, dedicated his life to the care of people and made many friends in the medical field. He also loved horses and had many friends in the horse business. Charles was a devoged husband, father and family man and he will truly be missed by his family and friends.

His survivors include his wife Linda, 2 sons: Mark and Matthew of Earlham, his parents Dorothy and Cameron Forgy of DeSoto, a brother Ronald of Winterset, his mother-in-law Trude Fitzgerald, many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted December 23, 1991 at the ST. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Winterset, Iowa with Father Frank Palmer officiating. Music was provided by St. Joseph’s Music Ministry. Pallbearers were Al Tesdahl, Doyle Sales, Rick Gannon, Jeff Hall, John Jameson and Ron Groff. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Richardson, Al Frizzell, Marion DeVault, Jack Row, Archie Dunbar and Brian Fitzgerald. Interment was in Penn Center Cemetery, Earlham, Iowa.
