Mabel Scrivner, St. Charles

Mabel Viola Scrivner, 86, of St. Charles, died of injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident on July 18, 1996, near her home. Funeral services were held July 22, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Osceola.

Bishop Kimball Clark officiated the services and burial was at the Close Cemetery in Madison County.

She was born in Oskaloosa on June 7, 1910 to Elmer Elsworth and Carrie May (Plum) McMurray. She attended rural schools and graduated from Oskaloosa High School. On March 25, 1956, she married Alvin Grant Scrivner at the Latter Day Saints Church in Polk County. She has been a resident of St. Charles since her marriage. She was a homemaker and had worked in a food processing plant and a retail clothing store. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brothers and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include her husband.
