LILLIE VICTORIA YOUNG

Lillie Victoria Young was born January 29, 1873 in Jackson township, Madison county and passed away at the Redfield hospital May 14, 1956 at the age of 83 years.

She was the daughter of William and Mary Eppard and was one of a family of eight. One brother and sister dying in infancy.

She joined the Early Chapel congregations September 12, 1886 under the leadership of Rev. Davis.

She was married to Hazel Tobin, a union into which two daughters were born, one of which died in infancy.

In 1908 she was married to Robert Young. They lived on a farm in Jackson township until 1919, when they moved to Dexter.

Her surviving relatives are her husband, Robert Young, one daughter, Agnes Weesner, two granddaughters, Beverly Hayes and Wanda Glasson and five great grandchildren. Another sister, Eva Sulgrove and a brother, Vernus Eppard also preceded her in death.

Remaining brothers and sisters are Sarah Mabbit of New York, Lyda Leeper of Earlham and Clarence Eppard of Clarinda, also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

MRS. ROBERT YOUNG DIED MAY 24

Services for Mrs. Robert Young who passed away May 24 at the Redfield hospital were held Sunday, May 27 at the Evans Funeral home with the Rev. Dilsaver in charge. Music was furnished by Dr. T. C. Peace, who sang :Abide With Me" with Mrs. Roland Weesner at the piano.

Casketbearers were Orville Grant, Howard Marsh, Cliff Stanley, Cecil Johnston, Carl Johnston, and Wm, Sulgrove, Mrs. John Eiltis, Mrs. Roland Weesner and Mrs. Darrell Daggett took care of the flowers. Interment was at the Jackson township cemetery at Pitzer.

Those attending the funeral from a distance were Beverly Hayes and daughters, Nancy and Judith of St. Joseph, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. John Glasson of Cherokee; Clarence Eppard of Clarinda; Mr. and Mrs. William Cahill, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Eppard Jr. and children of Charles City; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Boot of Kellogg, and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Johnston of West Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith of Winterset, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Thompson of Earlham.
