Mrs. John Bertholf

Word was received her Saturday of the death of Mrs. Nancy Bertholf of Tekoa, Wash., on Wednesday Oct. 17th, at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Bertholf has been in declining health for the past year, gradually growing weaker. Mrs. Bertholf was one of the early settlers of this county, coming here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brinson, in 1849. They settled in Lincoln township and resided here until Mrs. Brinson died in 1868. when the family moved to Kansas.

Mrs. Bertholf was the mother of nine children, all but one of whom survive her. She was the sister of William Brinson of this place, who with two brothers, also survive her.
