Myrtle Mosby Vanderlinden, 89, of Creston died Nov. 7, 1998 at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services were 1:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Creston. Paston Robert Sauser officiated with burial in the Moon Cemetery, Macksburg. Coen-Beaty Funeral Home of Creston had charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vanderlinden was born Oct. 26, 1909 in Macksburg to George E. and Grace (Simmons) Pinckney. She graduated from Macksburg High School in 1928. On Dec. 14, 1932, she married Ernest Mosby in Winterset. On Oct 20, 1979, she married Milo Vanderlinden in Creston. She lived in Macksburg, Winterset, Arispe and Creston. She was homemaker and nurse. She worked at Green's Nursing Home and Greater Community Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Creston Crestwood Club and Creston American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlene (husband Harry) Freeman of Lenox, and Virginia (husband Dean) Eighme of Overland Park, Kan.; two sons, Andrew (wife Joan) Mosby of Dewey Ariz., and Robert (wife Mary Jane) Mosby of Gretna, Neb.; two step-sons, Bob (wife Jan) Vanderlinden of Nashville, Tenn., and Steve (wife Sharon) Vanderlinden of Davenport; two sistersin-law, Edna Pinckney of Rogers, Ark., and Hazel Pinckney of Macksburg; 10 grandchildren, several step- grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a daughter, Evelyn, three brothers, two sisters, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
