Services for Guy Williams, 98, rural Lorimor, who died Nov. 27 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home in Lorimor with the Rev. Fred Anderson and the Rev. Robert Epperson officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.
Born Jan. 16, 1887 in Lorimor, he was the son of William and Melissa (Skinner) Williams. He married Agnes Robinson on Jan. 28. 1914 in Creston.
Mr. Williams was a lifetime resident of the Lorimor area. He moved to the Bethesda Care Center in Winterset three years ago. He was a farmer, member of the Deer Creek Chapel and attended college in Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Burrell of Waco, Texas, Harry of Carlisle and Russell of Lorimor; daughters, Ina (Mrs. Donald Bell of Warrensburg, Mo.) and Lola (Mrs. Maurice McClun) of Charles City; a brother, Everett of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
His parents, a daughter and five brothers preceded him in death.
