Iva Lea Wheeler, Creston, died April 22, 1998, at her home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. April 25 at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg in Macksburg with the Rev. Neil Platon officiating. Burial will be in the Moon Cemetery, Macksburg. There is open visitation after 9 a.m. today with the family receiving friends 7 to 8 today at the Powers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wheeler was born Feb. 23, 1908 in Grant to Edward and Stella (Coziah) Kirby. She attended Lorimor schools. On Dec. 15, 1930, she married Elva E. Wheeler in Adel. She was a homemaker and lived in the Macksburg area since 1939 and moved to Creston in 1976. She was baptized in the United Methodist Church in Lorimor as a child and was a member of the Needlecraft Club of Macksburg.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna June Brown of Creston; a sister-in-law, Mary Kirby of Perry; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on March 27, 1976; a son-in-law, Raymond Brown in 1991, a granddaughter; and two brothers, Howard Kirby and one in infancy.
