Death of C. F. Clark
Was Youngest Son of County's First Citizens.
Parents came here in 1846.

C. F. Clark, better known as Frank Clark, passed away at his home on West Court Avenue on Wednesday, December 24. He was 65 years of age and his entire life was spent in this county.

Mr. Clark was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Clark, who came to Madison county in 1846, the year of the first white settlement formed by the Clantons and Clarks, near what is now the town of St. Charles, and by the Guyes in what afterwards became Union township.

His failing health became apparant about a year ago. For the past month he had been much worse and his death was not unexpected.

He was a man of unimpeachable integrity, carried into daily practice the Golden Rule of life and leaves to his loved ones the inheritance of a life of good influence.

Immediate relatives bereft by his death are his wife, formerly Miss Mary Bayer, one son Earl Clark of Correctionville and two daughters, Mrs. Ada Hoots and Mrs. Lois Hircock who reside here.

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the Church of Christ.
