Lottie Abbot of Peru Dies

Death Occurred Saturday in Memorial Hospital in Winterset

Mrs. Lottie Abbott of Peru died Saturday, July 15, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 83 years of age.

Mrs. Abbott was a native of Mahaska county, where she was born April 22, 1888, a daughter of Cameron B. and Phoebe Jane Fisher Godby. She was married in 1903 at Wardin, Okla., to David C. Abbott. She had been a resident of Madison county for 30 years.

She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Greta McCunn of Red Oak and Mrs. Ruth Fenimore of Peru; in addition to 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lula Randall of Belt, Mont., Mrs. Bess Hutchison of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Thelma Hoskins of Balchow, Mo.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Peru Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Arnie Shafer. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
