Page 1Death of Mrs. Lloyd Clark
Relatives here received word yesterday of the death of Mrs. Lloyd Clark, at a hospital in Iowa Falls. She had been ill for a week with acute Bright’s disease. The funeral service will be held at the Church of Christ, Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. F. Clare McCallon, and burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mrs. Clark was formerly Miss Viola Staggs and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Staggs, live at Orient. Mr. and Mrs. Clark were married the first of June and moved to Iowa Falls where Mr. Clark had purchased a monument factory in partnership with his father, T. A. Clark.

Viola Mae Staggs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Staggs, was born on July 4, 1904, at Orient, Iowa, and passed away at Iowa Falls, on January 2, 1929. Viola was a member of the Orient high school, graduating with the class of 1922. She was also an active member of the Congregational church of Orient; president of the Christian Endeavor and representative of the church to several state conventions. She was married June 3, 1923 to Lloyd Clark, of Winterset. They were married in Indianola, going from there to Iowa Falls where Mr. Clark had purchased, in partnership with his father, a monument factory.
She leaves to mourn her untimely death her husband and their daughters, Constance and Colleen, her father and mother, five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Winterset, at 1 o'clock, Friday, January 4th, by Rev. F. C. McCallon.
