HOWARD K. BOSLEY

Howard K. Bosley was born in Madison County, Iowa, October 27, 1894, the son of M. S. and Clara Knox Bosley. Birth was on the farm where he lived his life, until a few hours before his death.

He was a World War I veteran.

On October 20, 1926, he was united in marriage to Alice Speer. To this union one son, Walter, was born.

Having been in failing health the past eleven years, Howard passed away Friday morning, November 25, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. He was 66 years of age.

Surviving him are his wife Alice his son Walter, one granddaughter Cammie, one brother Homer Bosley of Des Moines; and four sisters, Louise Frances, Jose Bosley and Marjorie Freeman of Mitchellville, and Edna Bosley of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.

Funeral services were held November 27 at the Penn Center church with Rev. Robert D. Williams in charge. Interment was in the Penn Center Cemetery.

Entire Life Spent on Farm Located In Penn Township

Howard K. Bosley, a life-time resident of Penn township, died Friday, Nov. 25, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 66 years of age. He had been in failing health for 11 years.

Mr. Bosley was born in Penn township Oct. 27, 1894, a son of M. S. and Clara Knox Bosley. His entire life was spent on the farm where he was born.

As a young man he served in the U. S. armed forces during World War I.

He was married Oct. 20, 1926, to Alice Speer, who survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Walter L. Bosley of Earlham, a granddaughter; a brother, Homer D. Bosley of Des Moines; and four sisters, Mrs. Louise Francis, Jose Bosley, and Mrs. Marjorie Freeman, all of Mitchellville, and Edna Bosley of Chicago.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Penn Center church, conducted by the Rev. Robert D. Williams. Burial was in the Penn Center cemetery.

Howard Bosley Taken by Death

DEXTER—Howard Bosley, 66, lifelong farmer of Madison county near Earlham, was taken by death on Friday morning, Nov. 25. He passed away at the hospital in Winterset where he had been taken only a few hours previous to his death. He had been in poor health for the past 11 years.

Funeral services for Mr. Bosley were held at the Penn Center Methodist church on Sunday afternoon Nov. 27. The Rev. Robert D. Williams, pastor of the church, was in charge of the service. The interment was in the Penn Center cemetery. The Richards Funeral Home at Winterset was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bosley is survived by his wife, Alice and one son, Walter, also one brother and four sisters.
