Mortuary - James W. Breeding

James William Breeding, aged 12 years, died Sunday, November 17th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dragoo, of Red Oak, following a sickness of ten weeks with rheumatism of the heart. Billy, as he was called, was born at Winterset, February 12, 1917, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Breeding. For the past eight years he had made his home with his aunt. The boy was a member of the Christian church Sunday school. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 20th, at the Perryman funeral chapel, conducted by Rev. Ira Carney, pastor of the Christian church.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Cleo Breeding; one brother, Solomon, and a sister, Lois, of Des Moines; a sister, Edith Breeding of Kansas City, and a number of other relatives and friends. Pall bearers were: Marvin Hackett, Laverne Carney, Raymond Barnes, Robert Freeman, Robert Hite and Laurel Eggers.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. Breeding and children, of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Lucean Rush of Omaha; Mrs. Lew Bucknes and Mrs. Rioghoft of Elliott, and Tom Weaver and son, Wayne, Miss Daisy Weaver, Mrs. Shell Weaver and daughter, Lydia, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gifford, Mrs. Ida Smith and Mrs. Rose Selfred of Peru.
