NORRIS BILDERBACK

In LaClede County, Mo., on September 29, 1845, Norris Bilderback came to brighten the home and rejoice the hearts of his parents Samuel and Sallie Bilderback.

He was one of seven children: five boys and two girls, who came to this home. The family moved to Iowa in 1852, locating on a farm in Dallas County, and here Mr. Bilderback grew to young manhood.

He was married to Fannie Sandham in June, 1892, and two daughters Beulah and Pauline came to bless this home.

He was one of the few old pioneers left in this community, and his was a true pioneer's life. He made two trips across the plains to Colorado and Idaho by team.

His was a home loving in spirit, faithful and loving to his family and generous in kindness and helpful deeds to friends and neighbors.

For 75 years, 7 months and 2 days he walked the ways of life, and example of honesty and kindness itself, but on April first he was stricken with paralysis and for a few brief loving hands ministered to him, seeking to hold him to loved ones and life; but in the early morning hours of April second, 1920 he departed.
