Thursday, October 4, 1934Mrs. P. E. Morrissey of Winterset, died at the Mercy hospital, in Des Moines, Wednesday morning, October 3d, about 8 o'clock. Mrs. Morrissey was taken to the hospital on September 22nd, for treatment, and she had a major operation last week. Her condition has since been critical. She was 51 years of age.
Mrs. Morrissey was the former Miss Anna Bruns, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bruns of this county. She has always made her home in the community. She leaves her husband and their seven children, Celia, Bernard, Henry, Dorothy, Marguerite, James and Ruth. She is also survived by her four brothers: Henry of Kalispell, Montana, George of Yelm, Washington, Fred of Benedict, Nebraska, and Joe of Winterset.
When the Madisonian went to press, Wednesday afternoon, funeral arrangements had not yet been made.

Page 1Rev. W. Hahessy conducted Requiem High Mass for Mrs. P. E. Morrissey at St. Joseph's Catholic church Saturday morning October 6 at 9:30 a.m. and burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Mrs. Morrissey, who was 51 years of age, had died at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, on Wednesday, October 3d.
The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bruns of this county. She leaves her husband, and their seven children: Celia, Bernard, Henry, Dorothy, Marguerite, James, and Ruth. She is also survived by her four brothers: Henry of Kalispell, Montana, George of Yelm, Washington, Fred of Benedict, Nebraska, and Joe of Winterset.
The relatives from a distance who were here to attend the services, were as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bruns and daughter Mary Janette of Benedict, Nebraska, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Adams of St. Joseph, Missouri, Mrs. Margaret Pratt of Chicago, Harry Olson of Minneapolis, and Ed Morrissey and family of Valeria.
