ROBERT M PLUNKETT

Robert Morris Plunkett, 72, of 106 N. E. Crestmoor Place, Ankeny, died of emphysema Monday at Winteret Care Center South in Winterset. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ankeny Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rising Sun Cemetery.

Mr. Plunkett was born in Des Moines and he had lived in Ankeny for 20 years. He also had lived in Maxwell for 14 years. He retired from farming in 1956. He also had worked at Supersweet Feed in Des MoInes and as a mechanic in Ankeny. He was a member of Izaak Walton League in Ankeny.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda; two sons, Tom of Maxwell, Clifford of Oregon, Wis.; five daughters, Ida Morse of Winterset, Roberta Brown of Rio, Wis., Betty Krisher of McFarland, Wis., Dorothy Frank of Ortonville, Mich., and Jackie Pine of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his mother, Ina Plunkett of Des Moines; a sister Edna McPhee of Des Moines; 13 grand children and three great-grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, were friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m.
