OBITUARY

Alice Gertrude Aronson was born in Adair County, Iowa, on June 29, 1884 and died April 7, 1930, aged 45 years, 9 months and 8 days.

She was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Aronson. Her early childhood was spent on the farm with her parents in Summit Township and it was here that she received her rural education. Later at the age of fifteen she attended the Friends Academy at Earlham, Iowa. It was when here that a group of her special girl friends formed a club which they called the Round Robins. This group of girls have kept up a corresondence through the intervening years and each year they hold a reunion in the month of June. She always enjoyed these reunions so much and made it a point to attend each year if possible.

In 1899 she was converted and united with the Friends Church and has remained a member.

After attending school at Earlham she attended the Casey Normal Training School. She was a girl of loving disposition and made many friends wherever she went.

On May 24, 1905, Alice was united in marriage to Bernard S. Raper. They then settled on a farm one mile south and one-half of west of Canby, Iowa. Later they moved to the home farm of Bernard's father.

To this happy union were born three children, Noel G., Naomi H., and Norwin B.
