Graveside services for Lucille I. McKibban, 87, Winterset, who died June 26 at the Care Center North where she resided, were held June 28 at the Clark Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Van Patten officiating.

Born in Madison County on Aug. 18, 1900, she was the daughter of James and Sarah Ann Rippey McKibban. She was a retired schoolteacher and after retiring from teaching in 1968 she moved here from Des Moines.

She taught in rural schools in Madison County and later moved to the northern part of Iowa and continued teaching.

Survivors include a niece, Louise Forsyth of Winterset, along with great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
