Eliza White Peed

Mrs. Edmund Peed died at her home in Winterset last Friday Feb. 8, 1895. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Church of Christ, of which the deceased was a member.

The Peeds were early resident in Madison County, having settled on land in the northwest part of Douglas township in 1856. The family having grown up and separated, Mr. and Mrs. Peed a few years ago leased their farm and moved to Winterset, where they lived in the enjoyment of their life of labor and thrift had accumulated. Mrs. Peed leaves a husband,now quite well advanced in years, two sons, Frank M. Peed of Douglas township, Charles Peed, who lives in Montana, and one daughter, Mrs. George Moore of Nebraska. Mrs. Peed will be
remembered as a woman of amiable character, a good neighbor and a warm friend. Peace to her memory.
