Page 14, Column 3George W. Bell, 74 years old, who died Tuesday night at his home, 405 North St. Paul ave., after an illness of about a year. He had resided here for about ten years, coming from Watertown. Burial will be in Mitchell, his original home.
Mr. Bell is survived by his widow and nine children, of whom six are sons and three daughters. The sons are William, Walter, and Clarence, all of Sioux Falls, Robert and Arthur of Los Angeles, and Sam, of Walla Walla, Wash. His daughters are Mrs. Frank Mullnix and Mrs. Harry Van Eps, city, and Mrs. Tom Conrin, Stewart, Minn.
________________________Transcriber's note: Per census records, the deceased was born in Illinois but was living with his parents in Madison County in the 1870 census. He reappeared in the county again in the 1900 census with his own family and had several children before leaving for South Dakota. His middle name is found on an Iowa Delayed Certificate of Birth for daughter Mary Ann who was born in St. Charles.
