Jesse McKibben Funeral Held Last Sunday

Jesse W. McKibben, son of William and Nehushta McKibben was born on a farm two miles East of Earlham, October 12, 1871 and departed this life at his home in Earlham, April 24, 1952 at the age of 80 years, six months and 12 days. He suffered a stroke 14 months ago and has been confined to his bed ever since.

He was united in marriage to Rose E Mendenhall October 17, 1894. She preceded him in death May 24, 1897. On September 10, 1928, he was united in marriage to Grazella Patterson of Primrose, Nebraska.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Orahood, and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church and served it in an official capacity on various occasions. Earlham has lost a citizen who had the welfare of the community at heart. He has stood for the things that would make it a better place in which to live.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Presbyterian church by the pastor, Rev. S. R. Overholser. Interment was in the Earlham cemetery.

Jess McKibben Funeral Sunday

Jess McKibben passed away at his home in Earlham about 10 a.m. Thursday forenoon. He had been confined to his bed for 14 months. He was in his 81st year.

Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church in Earlham at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27. Rev. S. A. Overholser will be in charge. Burial will be in the Earlham cemetery.

JESSE W. MCKIBBEN RITES HELD APRIL 27

Funeral services for Jesse W. McKibben of Earlham were held Sunday, April 27 from the Presbyterian church there, with the pastor, the Rev. S. R. Overholser officiating. Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery.

Mr. McKibben's death occurred Thursday, April 24, at the age of 80 years, at his home in Earlham.

Born Oct. 12, 1871 on a farm two miles east of Earlham, Mr. McKibben had been a resident of that community nearly all his life. He was a son of William and Nehushta McKibben.

He was married in 1894 to Rose E. Mendenhall of Earlham. Her death occurred in 1897. His second marriage has to Grazella Patterson of Primrose, Nebr., in 1928. She survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Orahood of Blairsburg.
