Jodi Michelle Stroud, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 20, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 64. Jodi was born on October 4, 1960, in Olathe, Kansas, to Melvin Lee Stroud and Peggy Joanna Davis Stroud.

Jodi spent her early years in Murray, Iowa, where she attended Murray Schools and graduated from Murray High School in 1979. She furthered her education by obtaining a bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State University, a testament to her dedication to learning and personal growth.

Jodi's professional life was marked by her commitment and passion for education administration. She served as a Business Manager for Earlham Community Schools and was currently the board secretary for both Earlham and Orient Macksburg Community Schools. Her colleagues and community members will fondly remember her for her professionalism and unwavering dedication.

Outside of her professional life, Jodi enjoyed a vibrant social life and took great pleasure in being involved with the Iowa State Fair, where she dedicated over 30 years of service. Her part-time position at Kohls was not just a job but a cherished connection to her "Kohls family." A fervent supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Kansas City Chiefs, Jodi loved spending weekends with her friends, creating cherished memories that will linger in their hearts.

Jodi was a devoted member of the Iowa School of Business Officials and was baptized at the Murray Church of Christ, reflecting her commitment to faith and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Roy W. and Mary Stroud, and William and Anna Davis. Jodi leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her brother, Roy (Karen) Stroud of Murray, IA; her niece, Megan (Andrew) Larson of Lakeville, MN; her nephew, Taylor (Jenna) Stroud of Baraboo, WI; her beloved great-nieces, Sloane Larson, Julia Stroud, Zoe Stroud, and Nina Stroud; and her dear aunt, cousins, and many friends.

Services to honor Jodi's life will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Marty Burgus officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Kale Funeral Home. A live stream of the service will be available at kalefuneralhome.com on Jodi's tribute wall beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Murray Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Earlham Community School District at 535 N Chestnut Ave Basecamp 1, Earlham, IA 50072. Online condolences may be shared with the family at kalefuneralhome.com.
