Dexter Woman Who Was Stricken Seven Years Ago Passed Away Tuesday Morning
Miss Effie Junkin, member of a well-known south Dallas county family and sister of Mrs. Vernon E McCleary of Adel passed away on Tuesday morning at the home of Mrs. O. E. Bast, with whom she lived.
Miss Junkin, who was 56 years of age, suffered a stroke of paralysis seven years ago and has since been an invalid. Another stroke came last Saturday and this brought about her death.
Announcement is made that funeral services will be held at Dexter Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial at Penn Center cemetery.
Miss Junkin’s parents are both dead. She has survived by three brothers and four sisters. They are Mrs. O. E. Bast of Dexter; Mrs. J. M. Burmeau of Earlham; Mrs. Bess Tate of Jackson, Minnesota; Mrs. V. E. McCleary of Adel; Walter Junkin of Plano, Ill.; Joy Junkin of Los Angeles and Chester Junkin of Perry.
