Mary Jane Stanley Flynn was born Sept. 25, 1944. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 8, 2024, at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald Flynn; father, Glen Stanley; mother, Marie Stanley; brother, Ray Stanley; and numerous others.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Flynn (wife, KaTina) of Grapeland, Texas; daughter Christine Christoph of Grapeland; grandchildren, Amber Christoph of Tyler Texas, Holly Warren (husband, Terry) of Tyler, Kevin Christoph of Tyler, Megan Bazinett (husband, Alex) of Diana, Texas, Faith Liotta (husband, Nick) of Grapeland; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Brown (husband, David) of Greenville, Sc, Elaine Kephart (husband, Everett) of New Virginia, and Ann Epperson (husband, Bob) of Winterset; sister-in-law, Lynne Stanley of Spearfish, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane, as most people called her, was born and raised in Winterset, Iowa, where she lived and helped on the family farm. After graduating school, she moved to Haviland, Kan., where she attended Friends Bible College. While in Haviland, she worked at a diner for a bit where she met her husband, Don Flynn. They were married 46 years before his passing in 2010. After being married a few years, they had a bouncing baby boy, Timothy. A few years later they moved to Texas to continue their lives of living for God and serving him. Here in Texas, they had a beautiful daughter, Christine and they made their family complete.

Mary Jane’s life was filled with many jobs such as cleaning houses and churches and working at the church daycare. She truly enjoyed serving her family as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She made an impact on each and every life she came in contact with. We are so blessed and thankful for the godly example she set for us all. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and was a faithful member of Felder’s Chapel for many years.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. Felder’s Chapel in Grapeland, Texas. A service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Grapeland.
