SERVICES ON FRIDAY FOR EARNEST MILES

E. H. Miles, a native of the Patterson community, died Tuesday, June 16 in Des Moines. He was 76 years of age.

Earnest Harvey Miles was born Dec. 5, 1876 on a farm near Patterson. He was the son of Isaia and Cecilia Miles. He grew to manhood in the Patterson community, but in later years had been living in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife, four children by a previous marriage, Milo Miles of Patterson, Mrs. Neva Stewart of Alhambra, Calif., Mrs. Freida (Frieda)Handy of Boulder, Colo., and Mrs. Cora Alley of Winterset; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a twin sister, Eunice Olive Stout of Patterson.

Funeral services for Mr. Miles will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines. Burial will be made in the Laurel Hill cemetery there.
