Services for Mrs. Louise Brauer Michener, 63, of the Clarinda Mental Health Institute, a former Des Moines school teacher will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Friends Church, with burial at Earlham.

Mrs. Michener died Friday at Clarinda of complications from a broken leg. She was a school teacher in Knoxville, New Providence and Warren Harding School in Des Moines.

Born in Hubbard, she lived in Des Moines 25 years. She was a member of First Friends Church.

Surviving are a son, Robert of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Maxwell of Nairobi, East Africa; two brothers, Merle Brauer of Oskaloosa and Herschel Brauer of Denver, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the mental health research fund in care of First Friends Church.
