Rosa Ellen Pace, daughter of Geo. C. and Tracy E. Pace, was born in Madison county, Iowa, Sept. 9, 1876, and died at Lincoln, Nebr., May 20, 1922, aged 45 years, 8 months and 10 days. The early part of her life was spent in the country. At nine years of age, she moved with her parents to Winterset to attend the public school, after which she went to Des Moines, where she attended high school. She was converted at the age of 16 and united with the Baptist church. July 4, 1917, she was united in marriage to Paul Michel. She leaves to mourn her loss, her father and mother, two sisters and two brothers, besides many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Rosa Pace Michel died at Lincoln, Nebr., on May 20th, following a very brief illness. She was a native of Madison county, living in and near Winterset for many years. Her education, begun in Winterset, was continued in Des Moines. Then she completed her business training in Cedar Rapids. She was stenographer for A. W. Crawford and Hamilton Bros.; also was in Newton for a year. Poor health compelled her to give up her work.
Since her marriage, she lived in the Webster neighborhood and Des Moines until her removal to Omaha a year ago.
Mrs. Michel’s remains were brought to Winterset for burial. Funeral services were conducted on Friday by Rev. George D. Rogers at the home of Byron Pace.
