Dorothy Ellen Davenport, 67 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her children on June 9th, 2023.

Dorothy was born December 9th, 1955 in Des Moines, IA to Amos and Alice Lein. After high school she married her soul mate Terry Davenport on November 16th, 1974. With the exception of a brief stint of military service in the United States Army, Terry and Dorothy were inseparable during their 44 years of marriage. They raised two children, Jeremy and Lacie, who then gave them nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family fishing, camping, gardening, music and dancing. She was a faithful wife, mother, and employee. She worked at CDS for 25 years as an Agency Tape Coordinator.

Dorothy is survived by her two children, Jeremy (Rita) Davenport of Galena, MO, Lacie (Shane) Campbell of West Des Moines, IA, her Father and Mother in Law, Terry and Kae Davenport of Indianola, IA; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Brandon, and Joshua (Kailee) Davenport, Georan Churchill, Chelssy (Alec) Veatch, Cassie, Owen, Isaac, and Hannah Campbell; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Karen (Jerry) Warden, Trudy (Roger) Webb, Mary Bowlin, and two brothers, Roger (Sue) Lein, and Rick (Sharon) Lein; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Tom and Dean Lein, and nephew Joshua.
