Lucille K. “Lucy” Jackson, age 80, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Treynor and Greenfield, Iowa, passed away July 11, 2022 at Fox Run Assisted Living.

Lucy was born May 13, 1942 in Neola, Iowa to the late Harold and Carrie (Petersen) Clausen. She graduated from Underwood, Iowa High School in 1960. Lucy worked for Northwestern Bell for 30 plus years retiring in 2002. She married Billy Jackson on June 1, 1984 in Treynor. Lucy loved cooking, playing cards, gardening, fishing, and playing shuffleboard in Arizona. Lucy especially enjoyed her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her sisters, Olga Schroder, Elva Holt and, Irene Schroder and brother, Ralph Clausen.

Lucy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Billy Jackson of Council Bluffs; daughters, Carmen (Vance) Riley of Granbury, Texas, Annette (Brad) Tiarks of Treynor; sons, Phillip (Kelly) Eggers of Pilot Point, Texas, Matthew (Angie) Eggers of Keller, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Tyler, Coby, Madeline, Avery, Whitley, and Anna; sons, Derek Jackson of Prairie Village, Kansas, Dan (Alysha) Jackson of Mission, Kansas; 4 grandchildren, Bennett, Paige, Justin, and Tara; great-granddaughter, Alayna; sisters, Leona (Tom) Stuart of Council Bluffs, Linda (Ken) Chollett of Millard, Nebraska; brother, Glen Clausen of Sioux, Falls, South Dakota; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. A lunch will immediately follow in the Cutler-O’Neill Community Room. Visitation with the family, one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment, Friday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Neola, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to Treynor Fire & Rescue or EveryStep Hospice.

Transcriber’s note: There is a gravestone located in the Barney Cemetery, rural Madison County, Iowa for Lucille and Bill Jackson.
