Page 1, Column 1Joseph Sheeley died at his home in Endicott Friday. He had been ill for a year but was not incapacitated for work until about two or three months ago. He was quite a prominent man in his home town, and until about a year ago, he conducted the Central hotel. He had resided in Endicott about 20 years.
He leaves a wife, two grown sons and one married daughter.
He was buried from the church at Endicott, the funeral being conducted at one o’clock by Rev. Worthley. C. F. Steele, of this city had charge of the burial, which was in the Fairbury cemetery Sunday.
_________________________Transcriber's note: The deceased was in the 1880 Madison County Census. His first wife died in the county in early 1881 and he remarried in the county in late 1881.
