Funeral to Be Friday For John Foreman, 83

John Pearl Foreman, 83, died Tuesday afternoon at his home, 11 miles north and 1 ¾ miles west of Perry, following an illness of seven months.

Services have been set for Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Newton Funeral Home in Perry. The Rev. Roger Carstensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Perry.

Born July 28, 1869 at Winterset, Iowa, he married Violette Young there. He came to Noble County in 1897 where he settled on a farm and lived there till his death. He had served on the Pleasant Valley school board and township board. His illness before his death had been over a period of seven months.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Herbert Roesler, Mrs. Ed Nemic, both of Perry, Mrs. Silvey Paris, Mrs. Erwin Sullins, both of Red Rock, and Mrs. Albert Kerns, of Marland; three sons, 18 grand children , and three great-grandchildren.

The wife, three sons and two daughters preceded him in death.
